Inman: Black Hole gives Gradkowski a special welcome

Inman: Black Hole gives Gradkowski a special welcome LET'S NOT KEEP those University of Tennessee hostesses waiting for us. Here are the Week 14 picks (token NFL update: Only four weeks left of the regular season, then the 49ers and Raiders start their annual vacations):

Raiders 24, Redskins 18: What's better than a comeback win at Pittsburgh? Reliving the Raiders' last Super Bowl victory and again trumping the Redskins. Cue announcer: "Those aren't 'Boos!' from the Black Hole but rather chants of 'Bruuuuuuce!' "

Cardinals 30, 49ers 24: Kurt Warner closes in on the NFC West title at Candlestick, just as the 49ers imagined when they recruited him as a free agent last spring. Except, he's still on the Cardinals, who've lost only four times this year.

STEELERS 29, BROWNS 23: Best way to rebound from the Raiders game and solve a four-game skid? Face the flailing franchise you've beaten 12 straight times. Make that 13.

Packers 26, BEARS 23: Charles Woodson beat Peyton Manning to the 1997 Heisman, and a fabulous four-game finish should put the Packers' Woodson in serious MVP conversation with Manning, Drew Brees and Brett Favre.

Saints 27, Falcons 16: This is the Saints' fourth road game in five weeks, making their undefeated record even more impressive. They catch the Falcons in a Matt Ryan-less free fall.

Vikings 28, Bengals 10: The Vikings clinch a playoff spot and improve to 7-0 at the home Favre rescued. The Bengals were off to the best single-season turnaround (through 12 games) since the 1999 Colts and 1963 Raiders .

RAVENS 20, Lions 16: Joe Flacco's "Monday Night Football" massacre in Green Bay cast doubt on his long-term potential. Fortunately, the short term brings with it the Lions and Daunte Culpepper.

Colts 30, BRONCOS 17: The Colts set a NFL record with their 22nd consecutive regular-season win. How long has it taken the Bay Area clubs to pile up 22 wins? Go back to Nov. 7, 2004, for the Raiders ; Nov. 5, 2006, for the 49ers.

Dolphins 26, JAGUARS 24: Dolphins coach Tony Sparano stays undefeated in December. A second straight AFC East title is possible, pending more Patriots unrest.

TITANS 33, Rams 16: A big game against the Rams' 28th-ranked run defense will boost Chris Johnson's chances at Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record (2,105 yards).

Jets 20, BUCCANEERS 17: The Jets boast the league's best rushing attack (and Kellen Clemens at quarterback instead of Mark Sanchez this week). But this win bumps their record to only 7-6, bolstering the fact today's NFL is a pass-oriented, scoreboard-happy league.

BILLS 21, Chiefs 16: Outscored 87-27 in their previous two games, the Chiefs are moving quickly to lock up the AFC West's cellar.

Cowboys 29, Chargers 27: Norv Turner suffers his first loss in 11 December games as the Chargers coach. Wade Phillips' "I Think They Are Winners" speech becomes the Cowboys' rallying cry (and with more success than Mike Singletary's "I Want Winners" 49ers proclamation).

Patriots 30, PANTHERS 26: Tom Brady's updated scoreboard: 2 sons, 3 Super Bowl rings. Admit it, you're curious what the final score will be and what legacy those sons will have to follow. But is Randy Moss losing interest in adding to Brady's on-field exploits?

Texans 26, SEAHAWKS 16: The Texans don't win enough. But they do at home against West Coast teams (see: October wins over the Raiders and 49ers).

Eagles 24, GIANTS 18: This makes four wins in a row for the Eagles, who just awarded coach Andy Reid a three-year contract extension. Translation: At least three more NFC playoff collapses.
