Minnesota Vikings' Antoine Winfield expects to play, but . . .

Minnesota Vikings' Antoine Winfield expects to play, but . . . Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield said he believes he will play Sunday against Cincinnati.

Winfield said today it will be a game-time decision whether he will play after recovering from a right foot injury.

Winfield is officially listed as questionable on the injury report, but he's encouraged by the way he felt this week in practice with no setbacks.

"I think this is the week I finally get back out there and get to get some action," Winfield said. "So we'll see how the (pregame) warmups go on Sunday, and hopefully I'm up (activated)."

Winfield originally was expected to miss about four to six weeks following a fracture he suffered Oct. 18 against Baltimore. But it's been almost two months since he was injured.

He suffered a setback in practice Nov. 27, which delayed his return.

"It's definitely frustrating," Winfield said. "It's a good thing that we're winning. Our record is 10-2; we're fighting for that position to get into the playoffs. Right now we're the No. 2 seed, trying to keep that so we keep that bye. The main thing is trying to get a win against Cincinnati."

Cincinnati receiver Chad Ochocinco said earlier this week that he will be angry if Winfield can't play. Ochocinco wants to compete against an elite player, and Winfield feels the same.

"He's a great receiver, been putting up numbers ever since he came into the league," Winfield said. "He's Carson Palmer's go-to guy, so he'll definitely see the ball. The thing against him is, you just don't want to give up the big plays. Definitely looking forward to the challenge."

Winfield said his foot isn't completely pain-free when he plants.

"I still feel it a little bit, but it's not as bad," he said. "The pain, I can work through."

Here's the rest of the injury report: safety Tyrell Johnson (concussion) is doubtful, and receiver Percy Harvin (migraines), right tackle Phil Loadholt (right shoulder), cornerback Karl Paymah (knee) and cornerback Cedric Griffin (neck) are questionable.

Left guard Steve Hutchinson (shoulder), running back Adrian Peterson (foot/ankle), receiver Bernard Berrian (hamstring), right guard Anthony Herrera (concussion), left tackle Bryant McKinnie (ankle), tight end Visanthe Shiancoe (ribs) and defensive tackle Pat Williams (foot) are probable. Quarterback Brett Favre (coach's decision) was limited in practice today and also is probable.
